About the Maker
About Via Amata | The Beloved Path
Hello, my name is Bre. I have always been an artist at heart, but my true craft was forged through the fire of resilience. My journey—my Via Amata or "Beloved Path"—has been shaped by the mountains I’ve climbed: from surviving childhood abuse and navigating depression to standing 12 years breast cancer-free and now lifting heavy to meet the challenge of osteoporosis. These experiences haven't just changed me; they have inspired the very steel I work with. They taught me that we are not defined by what breaks us, but by the intentionality with which we rebuild.
The Heart of the Forge
I wouldn’t be standing on this path today without my village. Working alongside my husband as a "maker family," I’ve learned to merge the digital world of 3D design with the raw power of a metal laser cutter. But it is my circle of wild, beautiful, and strong girlfriends who truly taught me to embrace, love, and accept every part of myself. Their inspiration is the heartbeat of this studio, encouraging me to show up for my community as my most authentic, inspired, driven, and resilient self.
The Maker’s Approach
I transform raw materials into intentional, hand-finished pieces. I work primarily with Stainless Steel, chosen for its industrial durability and timeless ability to hold detail, while expanding into Copper, Bronze, and Brass for exclusive designs and specialized projects.
I believe that adorning ourselves is a magical act of self-reclamation. Whether it is jewelry that feels like armor or home decor that anchors a space, my designs—rooted in mandalas, sacred geometry, and ancient symbols—are built to endure right along with you.
Vision for the Future
Via Amata is more than a shop; it is the beginning of a community. My long-term goal is to build a space that holds maker events and inspires others—especially women—to adorn themselves and claim their own strength. I want to bridge the gap between industrial fabrication and soulful creativity, showing that we can all build something beautiful out of the grit.
